Day Pass Schedule
The Canadian University Music Society (MusCan) will hold its annual conference May 23-25, 2018 at MacEwan University, Edmonton, Alberta. MacEwan University respectfully acknowledges that the land on which we gather in Treaty Six Territory is the traditional gathering place for many Indigenous Peoples. We honour and respect the history, languages, ceremonies and culture of the First Nations, Métis and Inuit who call this territory home.
The theme of the 2018 conference is MusEcologies, a theme that reflects the complexities and dynamics of music cultures in their spaces. Special topic areas will include musical communities, culture and identity, music and multiculturalism, the digital transformation and accessibility of music, etc. The CANADIAN UNIVERSITY MUSIC SOCIETY aims to bring together scholars from a wide range of perspectives for a vibrant discussion.

Conference Registration Fees:
Regular Members: $150 before April 30th/$200 after April 30th
Student and Unwaged Members: $50 before April 30th/$75 after April 30th
Non-members*: $175 before April 30th/$225 after April 30th
Banquet Fee: $50/person

On campus accommodations are conveniently located in close proximity to Allard Hall (http://www.macewan.ca/stayhere), and a range of hotel options in downtown Edmonton are also available.

Proposals from all areas of academic inquiry, including musicology, music theory, ethnomusicology, composition, music education, electro-acoustic music, music recording and production, and performance are welcome in English or French, from members and non-members. The deadline for all proposals and submissions is November 27, 2017. (Call for Scores Deadline: January 22, 2018)
