The Department of Music at Mount Allison University invites applications for a 12-month full-time sessional position in music education with a preferred secondary area in music technology.

Candidates should have a completed doctorate and a record of successful teaching, creative activity, and research at the university level. Teaching experience in elementary or secondary schools and in other areas of interest and expertise are desired. The successful candidate will teach courses in elementary and secondary music methods (combining general music/choral/instrumental), a senior seminar in music education, and music technology, and will act as a resource person in current music education issues. Candidates should exhibit an interest in nurturing the connections between the Music programs and the broader liberal education curriculum at Mount Allison.

The appointment will be made at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor and will be effective July 1, 2012, subject to budgetary approval.
