Dean of Music
Brandon University - Brandon, MB

In this high profile leadership role, you will set the tone for a School of Music that has consistently maintained an international reputation for excellence. Our distinguished faculty of 41 full time and part time members includes renowned performers, conductors, composers and scholars, all housed in a spectacular dedicated facility.

For more than a century, music has played a principal role in the evolution and continued success of Brandon University.  With your drive, deep knowledge of music and dedication to student success, you will proudly carry this legacy forward.

As a key member of the leadership structure of the university, you will work closely with your own faculty, with university administration, and with the community in general. Your stewardship of the School of Music will include maintaining the high teaching standards our students expect by supporting faculty initiatives to offer programs and curricula that are responsive, rigorous and progressive. You will also work to maintain positive labour harmony and sound budgeting practices. In addition, you will report to the Provost and contribute strategic insight to the President and the University’s leadership team.  An enthusiastic team player, you will partner with your fellow deans on interdisciplinary programming and best management practices.   As Dean, you will represent the School with distinction in the community, with alumni and among new and current donors.

You will have excelled in your chosen musical career and have experience teaching in a university environment. There is growing demand for the kind of personal and inclusive education that Brandon University offers. Here is the opportunity to support and inspire the next generation of performers, music educators, composers, scholars, and music professionals.
