Musicology.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a historical musicologist, preferably with research interest in twentieth-century music, with additional areas of expertise in research and teaching in at least two of the following areas: Western art music, popular music, theory/analysis, musicianship. The Music program at University of Guelph is undergraduate, offering a BA Honours degree. Students are first introduced to a broad range of musical topics and skills which are honed and enriched as they engage more deeply with music at the upper levels. A completed doctorate is preferable for this position, along with at least three years of teaching experience.
